Ask anything

Edit text, get answers, and take action with your voice on desktop.

Use Ask anything to work with text or find information without leaving your current app. You can select any text and ask Typeless to rewrite, summarize, translate, or explain it. You can also directly ask Typeless to get quick answers and take quick actions on the web.

Speak to edit selected text

Select a draft and describe the change you want, such as a different tone, format, or level of detail.

1. Select any words in any textbox, typed, dictated, or pasted.
2. Press the keyboard shortcut for Ask anything once (default: Fn + Space on macOS, Right Alt + Space on Windows).
3. Say how you want to edit.
4. When you're done, press the main Typeless keyboard shortcut once (default: Fn on macOS, Right Alt on Windows).
5. Your edit replaces the selection right away.

Speak to ask questions about selected text

On desktop, when you want an explanation, translation, or answer about something on screen, select that text and ask Typeless anything.

1. Select the text you want to ask about.
2. Press the keyboard shortcut for Ask anything, then speak your question or command.
3. Press the main Typeless keyboard shortcut to finish.
4. Review the answer while keeping your original selection unchanged.

Speak to get quick answers

When you want to explore a topic, check a fact, or get up-to-date information, ask Typeless on desktop without leaving your current app. It can search the web and give you a quick answer.

1. Press the keyboard shortcut for Ask anything.
2. Ask your question.
3. Press the main Typeless keyboard shortcut to finish.
4. Review the answer in a pop-up card without leaving your current app.

Speak to take quick actions

When you want to explore videos, products, or nearby places on the web, use Ask anything on desktop to open the right website and view the results there.

1. Press the keyboard shortcut for Ask anything.
2. Speak the action you want to take.
3. Press the main Typeless keyboard shortcut to finish.
4. The relevant webpage opens with your requested search ready.
